Symposium 7: Issues in the Teaching and Learning of the Igbo Language

DATE: 28th November, 2016

What are the problems confronting the learning of the Igbo language and how should they be concretely addressed? This question forms the core of every paper to be submitted for the next symposium. It is one thing to hear of the Igbo language and its death, of the children not speaking the language, of Engl-Igbo, and so on; but it is an entirely different thing to proffer concrete solutions to such problems.

This year's Igbo Language Symposium @ UNIZIK shall therefore welcome only the papers that not only identify concrete issues in Igbo language studies, but also proffer and demonstrate concrete solutions to the identified problems.
